HAVE A LAUGH WITH SOME 'OLD' FRIENDS, AND DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR - OLM FORUM SHARES A TIP.

Sarah Whitebloom

Have fun with some 'old' friends

An OLM Forum member has just been online to urge us to take the plunge and make some new friends.

They wrote: 'I have volunteered to befriend an older person. There is a lot of paperwork and I have to undergo a DBS check. It will be some time before I'm making cups of tea. But I get it. You can't have any old person turning up at a vulnerable person's door.

'I am not doing it because I'm so great - because I'm really not. I'm doing it because, if it were my Mum or Dad I would hope someone might befriend them. And, since I no longer have my parents, I'm borrowing someone else's. They're doing me a favour - not the other way around. Befriend someone today - make your life better!'
