IT might seem ridiculous to ask, but the system for claiming benefits and getting access to services is so convoluted, so difficult, that it might well be some Yes Minister joke to prevent older people getting help. An OLM reader is struggling to get benefits and services for a family in desperate need. They don't have a computer. A reader has been in touch to say that she has spent the weekend hiding from her 89-year old mother. She feels as though she just abandoned a tiny kitten in a dark alley - but so much worse. Join the Conversation - OLM Forum #parents #socialisolation
